2023 RIVERS GOVERNORSHIP: FLAG AMACHREE TAKES CONSULTATIVE VISITS TO THE CLERGY

Ahead of the 2023 Rivers Governorship election, a prominent Rivers son and politician, former ASALGA Council Boss, and immediate past State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) Rivers State, Hon Ojukaye Flag Amachree has commenced consultation; visiting notable Clergy across  the State

 

The Rivers State Governorship hopeful took his first visit to the General Overseer of the Abundant Life Mission,  Apostle Eugene Ogu in Port Harcourt, during the Easter period.

 

While informing  the Bishop  of his intention to contest the office of Governor of Rivers State Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree stated that he puts God first in the journey to contest Rivers Governorship hence his visit to seek God’s blessing and spiritual guidance. 

 

Speaking further,  Flag Amachree stated that he is someone that  Rivers people need. 

 

“I represent good governance going by my track records. I am also the bridge between the youths and the elderly. I speak the language of the youths and I also understand the language of the elderly," he said.

 

Furthermore, he said that due to what he represents, many have called him to contest the office of the  governor,  which he has accepted;

 

"I have accepted the call by numerous Rivers people to make myself available to serve the office of Governor of Rivers state” he stated.

 

In his remarks, Ap Eugene Ogu affirmed Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree as the best chairman in his days as Council Chairman.  

 

“You have the capacity and the courage. You have done it before. You came out as the best Local Government chairman and looking up to the state is what you deserve. I pray that God leads you”, Ogu opined.

 

 Flag Amachree was later led to the Church Cathedral where prayers were made on his behalf.

 

The Rivers state governorship hopeful thereafter moved his consultative train to visit Pastor Belemina Obunge, the  Pastor of the Jesus House Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of  God, RCCG, Port Harcourt, Rivers state, informing the pastor of his intention to run for the office  governor of Rivers state, and has come to seek his prayers and blessings.

 

Responding, Pastor Belemina Obunge commended Hon.  Flag Amachree for starting from the House of God, describing it as honour to God;

 

“You have started in the House of God, you have honored God. And God honors those who honor Him. Let the will of God be done”, he prayed

 

He further prayed for Hon Ojukaye Flag Amachree and his consultative team, with each of the members given a copy of Open Heaven’s devotional booklet of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

 

Still on dedicating the project to God, Hon Ojukaye Flag Amachree and his consultative train moved  to Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State to visit the Anglican Bishop of the Niger Delta Anglican Ecclesiastical Province of the Church of Nigeria, Bishop Blessing Enyindah, Ph.D.

 

While there, the  governorship hopeful,  before informing the Bishop of his intention to contest the governorship of the  state, gave a brief history of his background and why he had come to see him.

 

“I was once a youth President, once a local government chairman, and also former State Chairman of APC Rivers State. For some time now, I have received  calls from many political, apolitical groups and individuals asking me to vie for the office of governorship of Rivers state. As someone from a very strong Christian background, I decided to first commit it into the hands of God, so I came to seek your blessing, prayers, counsel and guidance in my journey to contest the Governorship of Rivers State”, he stated

 

In his remarks, Bishop Blessing Enyindah noted that he was glad to meet Hon. Ojukaye flag Amachree for the very first time, having heard about his name over the years. 


He equally affirmed that the visit is the first of such aspiration and prayed God for guidance and direction.
